I'm such a fan of your writing, the way you describe and your use of analogies makes me feel like I'm along that journey with you.

Can't wait to read more!

This is the first time I’ve read you and I’m in love with your writing. You’re descriptive but to the point. You kept me engaged throughout your story. And that guy is just one of the representations of L.A haha. I’m a writer myself currently working on a book that I want to self publish and I’m also into screenwriting. Don’t know if you already follow Scott Myers on Medium & Twitter but I highly recommend him. He posts about this world daily . Really good tips.

And yes. You’re a beautiful person. I might be wrong but I think you’re an old soul. There’s the Sun , the Moon & your ascended sign btw. So you’ve got influences from all three. What we think as negative aspects of ourselves it’s just our shadows work- Carl Jung.

3. Haha nice! 🔥

4. Would love to hear

Hi Aliza! I appreciate that! Very cool that you're working on a book with the intent to self publish — I went the same route. Screenwriting is a different beast altogether, but it is a fun medium! I've never heard of Scott Myers, I'll have to check him out. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks for the kind words, you could be right! I may be an old soul. I'll have to have a proper reading one of these days and see what they say.

I saw that you published a book titled Gloom. Are you reprinting? I’m into horror/thriller too would be nice to have a read or if you have it digital I’ll buy.

I totally agree with you that screenwriting is another level of difficulty but enjoyable. Changed my perspective on Movies.Few months back I wrote my first short horror script and was eager to submit it to a contest BUT good thing I didn’t. After taking a class I realized I had much, much to learn about the craft haha

One time I sat in a bar having a drink by myself. I kept having this sensation that someone was looking at me. Indeed, it was the bartender. He had this strange vibe about him. He said to me my energy was very attractive (not in a flirty way hah) and that I was an old soul. And I automatically replied that I felt he was too. He nodded. “Old souls recognize each other.” I believe in reincarnation and once you begin to comprehend the magic of Life it becomes fascinating. I had an Akashic reading time ago and it was a powerful, insightful experience. Would recommend.

Honestly, I probably wont reprint. But, I had the idea to post some of those stories here, maybe even for some self analysis, for those who haven't had the chance to read it.

I have a tendency to overfill my action lines with way too much description. I think that's because I started off writing prose fiction first. It's strange to get used to, especially because a lot of the information is inferred through action or dialogue as opposed to hearing the inner workings of a character's brain in a novel.

Interesting! I like to believe in reincarnation as well. If the opportunity ever arises, I will get an Akashic reading and see what it's all about.

Looking forward.

Exactly. Happens to me where I have an idea and I have to decide whether I’m gonna make it a script or a novel because of description.

I read this the other day but I keep coming back to it for a form of commiseration. I’m going to assume (I guess I really am an ass) that you’d much rather have avoided these conversations/moments, at least initially. I too have had so many truly odd run-ins: a random stranger asking me to sniff her as I boarded a ferry, a gas station attendant licking my fingers (long story!), etc. Do you think there’s something about you that attracts these people? I frequently wonder what it is about myself that these people/conversations always seem to find me. Psychologically, it might be interesting to delve into that in a future piece.

Taylor is a Virgo too. Gentle and kind. You have always been kind. Every time I’ve met ya. Never been to CA. After reading this I’d really like to visit. Just for people watching !!! I love your style of writing. Really draws in the reader and makes us feel like we are there. Excellent!!

As a fellow Virgo I can relate to some of those stereotypes and I'm not sure why, maybe it's all the damn Gatorade in the Mercury.

I'm thrilled to see you've been writing again, I know it may sound corny but you really do have a unique way of conveying how you feel.

Instead of trying too hard to sound polished like a lot of writers, you use morbidity and dark humor. It really feels like you're speaking directly to us without actually doing so.

Ricky, I’m a huge fan of your writing and am thrilled to have the opportunity to read more of your work here. These blog posts are fabulous. The combination of your dry wit, sarcasm and penchant for awesome writing made for some of the best reading in a long time. Thank you so much for the laughs and the great story telling—and I mean that in the very best way possible. Looking forward to more.

I don’t think you have the right natal chart, if you were born in 1988 your moon would be Taurus but that says Capricorn!

You are absolutely right. I'm not sure how that happened. I re-input my information again and checked this chart against the new one. My life is a lie.

Fixed. Thank you for the catch!

I really enjoy your writing and I am so glad you are back at it!

I bought Gloom a while ago and I read it all in one day, simply amazing! The accurate descriptions of what is going on in that precise moment make the story vivid, you can really see what is happening right before your eyes and that is a thing I appreciate the most while reading a book.

Keep going, I can’t wait to read more stories

P.S.: sorry if my English is a bit bad, but it’s not my first language

Astrology makes my brain hurt but I do like to know why I am the way I am. I really felt the hypochondriac moment, anxiety is a pain in my ass. You have a really good writing style though and now I’m going to binge read all of your work because I’m having reading blocks on everything else. I really enjoyed this.

I'm so glad that you're writing is back. I bought Gloom and I read all of it in one sitting a while back. The details and descriptions are absolutely great. What I love most is the content. There's no holding back. I appreciate that in an author.

I've just finished reading all three blog posts and they are different but interesting none the less. I think learning about someone more, regardless of whether they are a stranger or not, is a wonderful thing (sometimes of course). However, I thoroughly enjoy your writing style.

I will definitely be here for more when they are published. I truly am thankful you are back to writing.

Glad to hear you enjoyed Gloom. It's funny to hear you say that, because that's exactly what I love about specific authors, as well. Honored to be lumped in that category. There's a fine line between tasteless, shock-value content and blunt honesty that supports the story. I try to ride that line because I feel it's the way most people naturally think. There's no filter or editor in your brain, sifting content, as you think and experience the world around you. There's something to be said for that.

These blog posts are just a footnote to my life. Little stories and experiences that are relevant, or not. At best, I hope to get people thinking. It's a way for me to exercise my writing muscle while also providing content for the people, like yourself, who've enjoyed my previous work.

Glad to have you back as a reader!

Oh, wow! The good ol' days. Man, I forgot about that. I may have to go dredge through my old posts (if they even exist anymore) and see if there's anything salvageable. This style feels much more relaxed, which I enjoy. Plus, I get to interact with all of you, which is always an added bonus.
