Nah, you don't need to apologize for being a busy person, I actually admire how productive your days are. I was curious about something, do you have any "drama" while touring all between men? I imagine that it musn't be always all fun and games, right?
Ricky, there’s never a need to apologize to us, we love the content we get whenever we can get it but most importantly we love to know that you are happy and taking care of yourself. Most of us will never know the toll of being on tour let alone having many many side projects to focus on like yourself. Cannot wait to see all the fun pictures you take with the new gadget. Sending much love and glad you are safe at home once again💜
Glad to read you again Ricky! 🖤 missed it. Funny how I was just talking about your writing last night. I was telling a friend about my fear of drowning (I don’t know how to swim) & he said drowning is one of the least painful deaths. Steel Casket popped into my mind & told him the story haha I enjoyed Gloom 🖤 you’re one of the best Ricky, don’t stop. Looking forward to your next baby.
Life is what we make it right? Ups & downs, seasonal changes. Take it easy & nothing personal. Sending love & good vibes 🖤 glad to read you enjoyed yourself on tour & on mini golf haha I enjoyed the live at Mesa so much. Thanks for an amazing show. Looking forward to Aftershock 🔥 should I get VIP? Haha first time I’m going to be at a festival for 4 f*ng days.
Please share photography & anything related to. You’ve gotten better. Your updates are fun to watch.
I have a Q regarding podcasts; what would you recommend for starters? Working on mine.
And out of curiosity would you open a twitch and stream guitar playing? 👀 I’ve had Ryan streaming on the background for the past hour 😂
Thanks, Aliza! Glad you got to come to a show! Aftershock should be cool.
As per your question of podcasts, are you asking for recommendations on podcasts to listen to, or did you mean something else?
That's great! Ryan and Vinny are both very entertaining on Twitch. I don't think I'll ever start one. Not playing guitar, anyway. I may have something in mind. Just a matter of if we can get the ball rolling on it..
You guys killed it with the new song. Maybe it’s me but I feel Chris improved on his vocals. Something sounds different in the best way.
Regarding podcasts, sorry I wasn’t clear. I meant to start one (equipment, organization etc) Got to listen to some of yours. You have a very soothing, chill vibe btw which helps the flow of the conversation. Did you get discouraged for some reason or was it lack of time that you decided to put that project on hold?
Looking forward to whatever it is that you have in mind.
So glad you were able to have fun on this tour! It’s always nice to hear/see updates from you, regardless of when you’re able to post. I know I speak for at least a few others when I say your posts/updates really do make our days better. Hopefully you’re getting a chance to rest and take care of yourself before the next shows!☺️
Ricky! It's good to read you here again, but you better take a break, I have no questions, I just hope you're well and I wish you success in your next projects
I don’t know where my comment went?! Anyway, I absolutely love it. The clever lyrics, the collective anger and heaviness we’ve all been feeling. This is a war cry!
So good to see you here again, Ricky! As you said, keep writing, reading, and creating, and we'll be there for you. But we also understand that you can't do it all at once, so take care of yourself too <3
So happy to have You back! Have fun with your new camera! I have a small question so here it is. Would it be possible for me to show you what I wrote in the future? Since I participated in the competition, my inspiration has returned, and your advice has helped me a lot to discover my style and to realize what I like. I would be very happy if I could show you my evolution, and your opinion and advice are always appreciated.
Thank you!!!! I will post it on my account in a few days. I have a few exams these days , but I'll post right after or in a study break because I have to write it because it's in a notebook. English is not my first language but I do my best 😅Hope you'll like it! And thank you again!!!!🖤
No apologies are needed, Ricky. You have a busy life and plenty of things to take care of, including yourself. Update when you feel you have time, don't push yourself too hard. And bring on the photos! We'd love to see what you come up with and I can assure you that your excitement for that new little guy rubs off on us as well.
Take care and remember, you can still have fun at home too. Just not TOO much fun.
Always glad to read your writings. :) You post when you have time or when you feel like it. No pressure.
Just one question (For you Ricky and for anyone who is willing to share) : What is that you love and what is that you hate doing around your house?
(If the question is not too perosnal) .
We made a deal with my husband , he tooks out the trash , I do the laundry. For example. Cos' I hate taking out the trash , he hates doing laundry. But we both get annoyed changing the sheets, so we do it all the time together.
I figured it out! I hate deep cleaning the litter box (but would do anything for my cat!). In general, I need things to stay in relative order to feel some semblance of peace. I also love laundry! I fold like a 5 star service and put military creases in my slacks. Family thinks I’m nuts. Sheets can be a bitch!!!
I’ve been wondering this for a while but do you find yourself listening to MIW outside of playing shows or do you sort of get “sick” of hearing the same songs over and over again?
Hi Olivia! This is actually a good question. The only time I ever find myself listening to MIW outside of practicing for tour is after we finish an album. The second we get final demos/masters in, they are pretty much the only thing I listen to until it's release. It's been that way since Creatures. I'm not sure if that's everyone, but that's definitely me.
I understand where you’re coming from. I stay at home and take care of our daughter with special needs while hubby works in the army. When she was little, he would be deployed ALOT. Like, 8 of her 16 years, was without her dad. It was just the two of us. So I get the whole mental/emotional stress. Of having everything thrown at you all at once feeling. Also, don’t apologize for not writing. We all understand. You all have been super busy on the road. I can’t even begin to understand what that’s like. Just try to unwind and hug your doggie and take some awesome photos with your new camera. Do what makes you happy. 🥰
I really admire you, Crystal. Raising a special needs child can be a tremendous on two parents! Never mind one! I hope things are well with your family now. Take care!
Welcome back! You have absolutely nothing to apologize for! I can’t imagine how mentally and physically exhausting being on tour can be and then to come home and have the world land on your shoulders. It would be ally for anyone.
Looking forward to the photography. New toys are a lot of fun and getting to explore them is the best feeling. It can make you feel like a kid again.
Much like I did when I started writing again. After reading “Gloom” I was inspired to just start putting ideas to paper. It’s not Pulitzer material by any means, but it is cathartic and man did I miss it.
As far as shows are concerned I was lucky enough to see you and the guys twice in 7 months...once at a club last fall and again at the Aragon not too long ago. The club show was my first concert post COVID and I thought the roof was going to come off the place. The tour updates have been awesome and it’s been nice to see you step in front of the camera. Can’t wait ti see what you do next!
Not at all disappointed. You’ve been a bit busy. ;) All I can say is please take care of yourself. Rest. Recharge. We’ll be here when you get back. Until next time!
I am not currently putting stories out there for anyone else to read for a couple of reasons. I used to have a blog over on Word Press, but haven’t been there in awhile. I’ll let you know if anything changes. And good luck on starting yours!! Putting yourself out there is both terrifying and exciting!
Welcome back Ricky! No apologises needed. Have missed your "updates!" and am glad The Tour went extremely well. Wish I could have been there! So looking forward to seeing you all in the UK next year! Thank you for the Tour videos - they are hilarious, and for sharing what goes on and you constantly pissing everyone off with "update!" Does anyone run away, when they see you with the camera?! I hope life things can get sorted out and you can rest up. Looking forward to seeing your photo's with your new camera! Just listened to "Slaughterhouse". It is absolutely brilliant. Thank you Ricky and take care 💜🤘🖤
Ricky you don't have to apologize. Coming from pandemic land and then going back to touring has to be a huge adjustment. Take the time you need to just find a quiet place even if it's 5 minutes, you still gotta adjust to this new pace. I always love your honesty and your willingness to share with us. And who cares if it becomes a photo blog?! That's another way of letting us see life through your art. So fire away.
I recently started working after a leave of absence due to Delta, and even though this is work I've done before, I sort of feel like I'm flailing around tryna catch up. I know I will, it'll just take time. Same for you. You'll get back to reading and contemplation and feeling like you again. But also too- moments are what we have-savor the flavor.
No apologies needed. I appreciate your willingness to share yet another aspect of yourself. Your frankness is refreshing.

Every update seemed to post on a day where I could use that proverbial break! Did you get to listen to Slaughterhouse yet?
Yes I have!! So beyond excited for the rest of the album!!!
Ricky! It's good to read you here again, but you better take a break, I have no questions, I just hope you're well and I wish you success in your next projects
I'm excited to listen slaughterhouse!
Did you love it?!
it was a bunch of emotions mixed ♡ i really love it
did you like it too?
I don’t know where my comment went?! Anyway, I absolutely love it. The clever lyrics, the collective anger and heaviness we’ve all been feeling. This is a war cry!
Absolutely, you couldn't have said it better♡
Did you get to go to any recent shows post COVID?
No honey, i'm from Mexico he :(

Hey Jenni. I’d love to read anything you would like to share.

I’m thinking on this, Ywet94. I’ll get back to you!

Aww you're so kind. I'm doing alot better thank you. Be well and stay safe too!
🙂
This isn’t so much a tour question but what is your favorite theme to write about? Glad that you’re back writing again!
